Playboy Marfa

Title

Playboy Marfa

Description

Playboy Marfa was a short-lived installation commissioned by Playboy in an attempt to revive its brand. Because of its affiliation with Playboy and complaints from Marfa residents, it was quickly ruled as an illegal roadside advertisement and ordered removed by the Texas Department of Transportation. The installation was not well received by the local community, and a local artist launched a "kill the rabbit" campaign.
